Baby-watching

Karianne and I have been trading baby-watching hours for the last few months, and it has been a great addition to our week.  Monday mornings bright and early we watch James while she goes to Yoga and runs some errands.  Then on Tuesday or Wednesday she watches Jules in the afternoon so I can go to appointments or run errands.  It is so much fun to have James over, he usually arrives before Jules wakes up and he loves to go back and get him up for the day.

This is just a small peek at what those mornings look like:

Cogan's

L to R: Pete, Rachel, Jules, Scott, James Karianne, Bri, Chris, and Ellen Claire

We just discovered Cogan's has $5 off pizza all day on Sundays, so we gathered with some good friends and all of our babies. Overall it was a success, even though Jules ended up eating some red pepper.  Nothing a $1 balloon and foam sword from the dollar store around the corner couldn't heal;)

Best Buds for Life

James is Julians best friend so far in his tiny life.  Between park meet-ups, Mama Chat, our morning babysitting trade twice a week, and other miscellaneous get-togethers they have a lot of time to interact with each other during the course of the week.  Usually the first 15 minutes or so are a little rough, working out who is more in charge, who gets access to what toys, etc, but overall they are really great together.  And more and more we are seeing them interact in their play together instead of just parallel play.  It's so fun to watch them chase each other around on the playground, share snacks, and give snuggles.  Love those two!
